The first think I thought of - why didn't God think of a pump instead of a beating heart. Second thing I thought of, whatare the results over time of a constant blood floow rather than a pulsing blood flow? The two scientists did not address that but I am sure that they are looking at it.

I got to the same question myself. It's hard to contemplate what it means not to have a pulse—it seems to overturn even our concepts of rhythm.
