A new Kellogg’s restaurant in Times Square will serve dishes made from the brand’s cereals.

From Daily Beast comes word that Kellogg's NYC will open soon to serve only "serve only Kellogg’s cereals and concoctions made from those cereals." Seems like this is a natural complement to the toast restaurants I've written about.

Yeah, upscale toast is still a thing, thanks mostly to the folks at this Mount Vernon Triangle bakery and hangout. They make their soft-textured pain de mie loaves every day, then top them with an array of sweet or savory combinations. Start with a slice slathered with rich, drippy peanut butter and topped with Sriracha and cilantro, then have another—laden with Nutella, butter, and shards of Maldon salt—for dessert.

Now appearing at Pittsburgh's Smallman Galley

Proving once again that artisanal toast really is a thing, Josephine's Toast is now featured at the Smallman Galley. It's even been featured at About.com's column about "the best, must-eat foods." To be fair, the restaurant has much more than toast on its menu. This Twitter post gives the idea.

I read the linked article without much enthusiasm until I got to the note at the end that Baked and Wired is planning to open a toast bar early next year. Baked and Wired has got to be my favorite bakery in town, and just the news that they're planning on adding bread to their lineup seems like a cause for celebration.
